The Sri Lanka College of Psychiatrists together with FHI 360 carried out a successful 2-day residential workshop in Kandy on 9th and 10th of December, on the training of trainers for consultant psychiatrists and senior registrars in psychiatry. This training helps the consultants train their healthcare workers and frontline workers handling the 1926 and 1990 helplines to deal with common psycho-social issues as well as crisis management.Several health ministry officials including Dr.Asela Gunawardhena (DGHS), Dr Lal Panapitiya (DDGHS1) and Dr. Priyantha Atapattu (DTCS) attended this event.
